Due to a last minute cancellation, we have Christmas / Xmas week available in our beautiful apartment in Tignes. If you’re interested in spending Christmas week and new year in the beautiful Tignes mountains for a magical white Xmas, get in touch quickly as the week is bound to be booked in the coming days.

The apartment is free from boxing day for 7 days (Sunday – Sunday), meaning you can do your gifts at home, and then escape all the crap repeats on TV by jetting off to the Alps. You know it makes sense.

Accommodation for Christmas week in Tignes is very thin on the ground, with most flats being fully booked by now. Our flat is right at the foot of the mountains in Val Claret, and is a beautiful apartment sleeping 4-6 people for a great snowboarding or skiing holiday over the Xmas period.

Summer accommodation in Tignes… only 1 week left!

Summer in Tignes is fantastic, there’s so much to do in the fresh mountain air:

Fun on the lake
and of course… Summer Skiing on the glacier!

Review of La Ferme du Val Claret

Impartial and comprehensive review of La Ferme du Val Claret by someone who stayed there here.

Couple of provisos;

This is a review of a 3 bed apartment, ours is only a 2 bed, so not quite so spacious and only has 2 bathrooms rather than the 3 mentioned in the review.
As we own our apartment, we have a parking space in the underground car park which we don’t charge additionally for, so you can knock the £100 off the cost he mentioned.
Our apartment is at ground-floor level, so no issues with lifts etc.

Lots of good photos on the review though… note to self, take more photos on next visit.

Let it snow, let it snow….

Having popped out for a cheeky week (well, 3 days) of glacier boarding a couple of weeks ago, I was astonished to see that even in early november, there was snow right down into the resort. We had fresh powder for all 3 days, and pretty much the whole mountain to ourselves.

Suffice to say the powder was deep enough for me to lose my mobile phone (once again, happens ever year so it’s good to get it out of the way nice and early!).

So all in all, looks like a promising start to the season in terms of snow cover, and aparently there’s a huge dump of snow forecast in the next day or two… bring it on!
